Counselling and stress management in Southampton
Creative CPD for therapists
About
Some background
My interest in the human condition led to a psychology degree, training and working as a careers adviser, learning energy psychology methods including Touch for Health and EFT and eventually qualifying as a holistic and creative Gestalt counsellor. Since 2011, I've worked as a counsellor and trainer at the Olive Branch, established my private practice and at the University of Winchester have counselled students and helped to set up on-site staff counselling.
I offer counselling, stress management support, strengths coaching and careers guidance. Having run creative counselling workshops since 2017, I'm offering a Diploma in Creative Application of the Five Elements from March 2025.
I've learned some important lessons from life that, combined with supervision and ongoing CPD, all help to ground and guide my counselling practice and professional training offer.

Why Goodwill Guidance
I call my practice this to recognise the moments of healing goodwill, of compassionate here and now awareness celebrated by many wisdom traditions, that may bring emotional freedom and guide us to make more of our time on this planet. While I believe there are no bad parts within us, the first healing reflection is an homage to this wonderful quality of awareness.

I worked as a Touch for Health kinesiology practitioner before doing my counselling training and remain committed to working in a holistic and embodied way. For example, I've used soothing and restoring energy psychology methods for many years and have developed my own approach which brings together my interests in:
Internal Family Systems: This can give profound insights into what keeps us stuck.
Using creative methods: A fantastic way to support counselling and coaching.
Working with trauma: We can use strategies that help reduce unnecessary distress.
